Patternmaking & Construction II final project.

For this look, I created the patterns blocks using my own measurements and then used pattern manipulation techniques to create my final look. There was one sample with a fitting before using final materials.

Using secondhand materials was important to me, but it also brought up some challenges. I had to be extremely meticulous with the way I laid out my patterns because I had a certain amount of fabric and would not be able to purchase more. I also had to pattern the buttonholes each individually, because they were not all the exact same size.

This project taught me that it is entirely possible to bring new ideas to life with old materials.
